Structure of the Final
| Overall Issues.
I have never given an online final at Myers University, so I need to
find out more about how this is done before saying too much about
how the testing will actually be done. But I now know it will be given from 6PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 20. This is true for both online and in class. The in class test will be done entirely on paper. There will not be any work in Access on the computers. Obviously, the online test has to be taken via the web, which I assume is how they are almost always done at Myers. The test will be entirely true-false, with 50 true-false questions each worth 2 points. Everyone will be allowed to have a single 8½" x 11" sheet of paper with whatever they want written on it for support during the final. The final should take about 1.5 hours to complete. This will give the in-class students time after the final to work on the homework. But remember, the final is December 20 which is after the due date so anything you are working on after the final loses a few points for lateness. |
